From an early age, Mark developed an interest in both music and hypnosis, and
made the decision to pursue music. His father had incorporated hypnosis into
his medical practice in the late 1950’s, eventually delivering over 1500 babies
using hypnosis for pain control during delivery. While growing up, Mark was
excited to have the opportunity to observe and participate in a variety of
hypnosis sessions with his father in their home. These sessions involved habit
control, stress reduction, stage hypnosis as well as regression.
The decision to pursue a career in music, lead Mark
to study music at Berklee College of Music in
Boston,
MA
and
North
Texas
State
in
Denton,
TX. While finishing his Master of Music degree in
Denton
, where he used hypnosis for test anxiety, Mark became interested in
what would eventually become his second career, computer programming.
After 12 years of teaching piano classes, he made the transition to
programming. Although he did not realize it at the time, both of these
experiences were setting the stage for what would come next in his life,
Hypnosis.
The mind has been compared to a computer, a very powerful computer. Many of our
habits, activities and actions we do everyday without thinking about them are
based on programs that are stored in the subconscious mind. Some of these
programs are good, like the one that tells your heart to beat and the one that
tells you to continue breathing. These autonomic “programs” reside in the
subconscious mind as do other habits which may affect you in a negative way.
Using hypnosis to help others involves the process of teaching people how to
make permanent changes in their life by making changes to the programming in
the subconscious mind. After a successful career as a music teacher and a
second career as a computer programmer, Mark has been able to integrate his
knowledge of hypnosis with his experiences as a teacher and a programmer to
discover the secret to helping people change their minds, and change their
lives with hypnosis!
