Is Denver Hypnosis Training held in person or online?

Denver Hypnosis Training is delivered through a live, interactive online classroom, which means the full professional certification is available from Denver, the Front Range, or anywhere in Colorado, without travel. You are in class with me in real time, practicing daily in supervised breakout rooms. This is not a stack of recordings. It is a live classroom, and there is a seat in it with your name on it.

What Does the Certification Involve?

This is a complete 220 hour professional certification taught personally by second generation hypnotherapist Mark Johnson, delivered through a live, interactive online classroom. You practice on real people every single class day, under live supervision, and graduate ready to see paying clients.

How Do the Class Times Work From Mountain Time?

Gently. Class runs 10:00 to 6:00 Central, which is 9:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon in Denver, about as close to a normal working day as a live national classroom can get. We meet Thursday through Sunday every other week, twelve days across three modules, so a Front Range student with a standard work week takes only six days off across the entire certification.

I wish there were 10 or 20 stars, as I cannot begin to put into words how amazing the Hypnosis Training course was with Mark Johnson. Once COVID-19 derailed the original class schedule of meeting in-person for two separate weeks of training, Mark presented through Zoom. We had presentations and lectures, we were able to see notes and outlines, video clips and live demonstrations with his shared screens. Lots of member participation and interaction. The separate rooms were perfect for practicing techniques with partners. Zoom allowed for Mark to enter the rooms and observe; as well, there was a help button so he could assist at anytime. Feedback throughout was excellent. As I have practiced with volunteers, friends, family, all of which was done on Zoom, both the clients as well as myself have been extremely comfortable and found the on-line experiences to be comfortable and effective. I feel very well prepared and have formed some awesome relationships with Mark and my fellow classmates. The best!

Do I Need a Natural Gift for This Work?

No. Real clinical confidence is built, not born, and I say that as someone who grew up watching a master and still had to learn the mechanics like everyone else. Hypnosis is a structured, systematic, teachable skill. We break each technique into steps, you watch it demonstrated live, then you do it yourself with a classmate the same day. You get proof it works in your hands within your first hours of class, and that proof repeats daily until doubt gives up.

After Graduation

What Happens After I Certify?

The support keeps going, because graduation is where the real questions start. The final fourteen hours of the program happen four to six weeks after the last module, once you have real sessions behind you and real questions to bring back. You keep lifetime access to the resource library, your first year of IACT membership is included, and you get six months of the Good Vibes Hypnosis Training Mentorship Program, a live monthly group where we work through cases and practice building together.

Can I See Clients Outside Colorado Once I Certify?

From day one, and without the nerves that usually come with it. Because the training itself happens over a camera, remote sessions are not a skill you bolt on later, they are simply how you learned. My graduates see clients across the country and internationally alongside their local practices, which means a Denver practitioner's market is not bounded by the Front Range. It is bounded by your calendar.

Can I really build a hypnotherapy practice in Denver?

Denver has been at the forefront of the wellness movement for decades, and the Front Range is full of people who already believe in this work and are looking for someone with real training to guide it. What the market lacks is not interest. It is practitioners with clinical depth. That is a good position to be walking into.

Anxiety and stress, confidence and self worth, habits including smoking, fears and phobias, performance blocks, and the patterns people cannot think their way out of no matter how clearly they see them. One of my clients was a chiropractor who had failed her state board exam four times, not from lack of knowledge but because the moment she hit a question she could not answer, panic locked up her memory. We did not study the material. We disconnected the panic from the trigger and anchored calm in its place. She passed and got her license. That is the kind of work this is.

Hypnosis is a self regulated field, and in most of the country there is no state licensing board or government exam standing between you and practice. Your professional standing comes from certification through a recognized body such as IACT. That said, a handful of states do have specific rules about what you may call yourself in your marketing, or ask unlicensed practitioners to use a simple client disclosure form or register with the state. We go through the rules that apply to you in class, so you are not guessing when you set up your website and your intake paperwork. If you already hold a clinical license, that license remains your baseline authority and you are in a strong position from the start.
